Dear Kimberly Manzione:

By letter dated December 15, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML21349B418), as supplemented September 2, 2022 (ML22245A103), Holtec International (Holtec) submitted an application to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for Certificate of Compliance No. 1014, Amendment No. 18, to the HI-STORM 100 System, pursuant to the requirements of Part 72 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations.

On October 13, 2022, the application was accepted for a detailed technical review (ML22273A141). On May 26, 2023, Holtec submitted its responses (ML23146A138) to the NRC staffs request for additional information (RAI) letter dated March 6, 2023 (ML23058A126). On September 8, 2023 (ML23251A250), Holtec provided supplemental responses to the staffs first RAI pursuant to a clarification call held between Holtec and NRC staff on August 2, 2023 (ML23215A059).

This letter is to advise you that the information needed to continue our review is described in the enclosures to this letter. Please note that your RAI responses should be provided within 30 days of the date of this letter. If the RAI responses are not received by the requested date, the staff may discontinue any further review.

Upon removal of Enclosure 2 this document is non-sensitive.
