ACCEPTANCE REVIEW COMPLETED FOR TN AMERICAS LLC APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE NO. 1042, AMENDMENT NO. 2, TO NUHOMS EOS SYSTEM (DOCKET NO. 72-1042, CAC NO. 001028, EPID: L-2019-LLA-0078)

Dear Mr. Narayanan:

By letter dated April 18, 2019, as supplemented on August 5, 2019, October 2, 2019, and October 29, 2019, TN Americas LLC (TN) submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) an application for Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No. 1042, Amendment No. 2, to the NUHOMS EOS System, pursuant to the requirements of Part 72 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations.

The staff has reviewed TNs responses to NRCs request for supplemental information and has determined the application, as supplemented, now contains sufficient technical information in scope and depth to begin a detailed technical review. This letter acknowledges acceptance of your application.

We have established a schedule for the review and estimated that the staff may need approximately 1600 hours0.0185 days <br />0.444 hours <br />0.00265 weeks <br />6.088e-4 months <br /> to complete its review. The schedule allows for the staff to complete its technical review and issue a request for additional information (RAI) in March 2020. If TN provides sufficient responses to the RAI by April 2020, and a second RAI is not needed, the CoC would be submitted to Rulemaking in August 2020. Rulemaking is estimated to take 6 months, and if there are no significant adverse comments received during the comment period, the CoC will become effective in February 2021. In general, no additional changes to the application should be submitted except for changes resulting from your response to a RAI.
