13 FOR THE HI-STORM 100 MULTIPURPOSE CANISTER CASK SYSTEM (DOCKET NO. 72-1014, CAC NO. 001028, EPID: L-2018-LLA-0202)

Dear Ms. Manzione:

By a letter dated July 18, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Number ML18205A179), and amended on November 19, 2018 (ADAMS Accession Number ML18325A154), Holtec International (Holtec) submitted an application in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 72 for an amendment to Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No. 1014 for the HI-STORM 100 Multipurpose Canister (MPC)

Cask System. Amendment No. 13 revises the certificate and technical specifications to update the initial uranium weight for the 16x16B and 16x16C fuel assembly classes to match the value for 16x16A in HI-STORM 100 CoC Appendix B.

As stated in the Federal Register (84 FR 6055, 2/26/2019), the effective date of Amendment No.

13 to CoC No. 1014 is May 13, 2019. Attached are CoC No. 1014, Amendment No. 13, and the corresponding technical specifications and safety evaluation report (SER). This certificate constitutes the approval and conditions for use of the HI-STORM 100 MPC Cask System for Irradiated Nuclear Fuel Storage System for storage of spent nuclear fuel under the general licensing provisions of 10 CFR 72.210.
