Dear Ms. Chen:

By letter dated August 5, 2022 [1], NRC staff documented Requests for Additional Information (RAI Batch 2) to support review of HI-STORM 100 amendment request 1014-16. Previously, Holtec has provided the responses for Batch 1 and the materials section of Batch 2 of the RAIs in a previous sent letter [2]. Holtec has provided the Batch 2 RAI shielding responses in this letter.

The responses to RAIs are provided in Attachment 1, with Attachment 2 being a non-proprietary copy. Changes to the FSAR as a result of these RAIs are included in Attachment 3 and 4 for both proprietary and non-proprietary versions, respectively. Since some attachments to this letter contain Holtec proprietary information, an affidavit requesting this information be withheld in accordance with 10CFR2.390 is included as Attachment 9.
