Dear Mr. Layton:

This submittal provides information requested by NRC Staff during the Reference #1 telephone conference call on September 12, 2018. Enclosures 2 through 7 provide computer input files, drawings, and supporting documentation for input parameters that were requested.

Enclosures transmitted herein contain SUNSI. When separated from enclosures, this transmittal document is decontrolled.

provides requested information referenced in Enclosure 6 of the Reference #2 transmittal. Enclosure 3 provides computer files referenced in Enclosure 9 of the Reference #2 transmittal. Enclosure 4 provides a justification for some of the input parameters used in of the Reference #2 transmittal that were requested by NRC staff during the conference call. A calculation referenced in Enclosure 4 is included for information in Enclosure

5. Enclosure 6 provides drawings cited in the footnotes to Table 2-6 of the License Renewal Application provided in Reference #2. Enclosure 7 provides drawings cited in the footnotes to Table 2-8 of the License Renewal Application. Enclosure 8 provides the scoping tables (Tables 2-6 through 2-9) and aging management review (AMR) results tables (Tables 3-3 through 3-6, Table 3-8 and Table 3-10) in MS-EXCEL format originally provided in Reference #2.

Certain portions of this submittal include proprietary information, which may not be used for any purpose other than to support the NRC staffs review of the LRA. In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, TN Americas LLC is providing an affidavit (Enclosure 1) specifically requesting that this proprietary information be withheld from public disclosure.

This submittal is being provided as an electronic submission, using the optical storage media (OSM) provision from Section 4 of the NRC Guidance for Electronic Submissions to the NRC.

Accordingly, we have included a Document Components listing and OSM#l and OSM#2 listings at the end of this cover letter.

SMUD is submitting this information for the license renewal application under oath or affirmation (Enclosure 9). Accordingly, pursuant to 10 CFR 72.16(b ), I declare under penalty of perjury that the information contained in SMUD letter DPG 18-166, "Response to Request for Information For Review of the Application for the Renewal Of 10 CFR Part 72 Special Nuclear Materials License No. SNM-2510 For The Rancho Seco Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (CAC/EPID NOS. 001028/L-2018-RNW-0005;000993/L-2018-LNE-0004)" is true and correct to the best of my knowledge.
