Dear Ms. Chen:

By letter dated March 23, 2023 [1], the NRC staff sent Requests for Additional Information (Part

5) to support review of Amendment 7 for the HI-STORM FW Certificate of Compliance No. 1032.

A clarification call [2] between Holtec and the NRC was held on March 29, 2023. Holtec understood the need for additional information and expressed our plan to submit that information by May 8, 2023, in a letter dated April 6, 2023 [3]. Holtecs responses to the NRC staff RAIs Part 5 are in the attachments to this letter.

The responses to the RAIs are provided in Attachment 1, with Attachment 2 being a non-proprietary copy. 4 for both proprietary and non-proprietary versions, respectively. All proposed changes in Attachments 3 and 4 based on the RAI responses are highlighted in yellow to facilitate the NRC staffs review. Attachments 5 and 6 contain the revised licensing drawings supporting the RAI responses. Attachments 7 through 9 contain proprietary documents to support the RAI responses.

Since some attachments to this letter contain Holtec proprietary information, an affidavit requesting this information be withheld in accordance with 10CFR2.390 is included as Attachment
