Letter from Jeffery D. Isakson (ISP) to NRC Document Control Desk, Submittal of License Application Revision 2 and Request to Restart Review of Application for Approval of the WCS CISF, Docket 72-1050, dated June 8, 2018 (E-51587)

In Reference 1, Interim Storage Partners (ISP) submitted Revision 2 of the License Application along with ISPs request that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) resume all safety and environmental review activities associated with the License Application that would permit ISP to construct and operate the WCS CISF associated with Docket No. 72-1050. Subsequent to that submittal per NRC request, we have reviewed the information requested to be withheld from public disclosure and have identified an item that should have been requested to be withheld and also identified text in Chapters 7, 12 and 13 that can be made public.

Therefore, ISP provides an update to the enclosures to Reference 1 incorporating these changes to the information requested to be withheld from the public. There are NO changes to the files other than what information is being requested to be withheld from public disclosure; therefore the submittal remains Revision 2. There are 64 files that make up the enclosures to Reference 1 and this update impacts five (5) of the enclosures. In order to avoid confusion the enclosures to this letter replace all 64 files included with Reference 1. Finally, the NRC identified a figure in the ER that included a statement not for public disclosure but was identified as a figure to be withheld from public disclosure. We have updated the file that contains that figure to remove the word not for public disclosure from the figure to avoid confusion in the future.

This submittal continues to contain proprietary information, which may not be used for any purpose other than NRC staff review of the License Application. In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, we are resubmitting the affidavits specifically requesting the protection of proprietary information from disclosure. Public versions of the proprietary SAR parts are provided.
