Dear Kimberly Manzione:
By letter dated December 15, 2021, as supplemented September 2, 2022, Holtec International (Holtec) submitted an application to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for Certificate of Compliance No. 1014, Amendment No. 18, to the HI-STORM 100 System, pursuant to the requirements of Part 72 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
The staff has determined that further information is needed to complete its technical review.
The request for additional information is in the enclosure. Your response should be provided within 30 days of the date of this letter. If you are unable to meet this deadline, please notify us in writing, at least one week in advance, of your new submittal date and the reasons for the delay. The NRC staff will then assess the impact to finalize the safety evaluation report and notify you of a revised schedule.
