Dear Rebecca Steinman:

By letter dated March 7, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System

[ADAMS] Accession No. ML25066A171), Constellation Energy Generation, LLC (CEG) submitted, for NRC review and approval, a license amendment request for Facility Operating License (FOL) Nos. DPR-39 and DPR-48 for Zion Nuclear Power Station (Zion),

Units 1 and 2. Specifically, the amendment request proposes to delete from the FOLs certain license conditions relating to the terms and conditions of decommissioning trust agreements and, instead, conform to the 10 CFR 50.75(h) regulations, and delete license conditions relating to the License Termination Plan.

The NRC staff completed an acceptance review of your submittal and have identified no administrative omissions or deficiencies that would prevent us from proceeding with a detailed review. Your submittal has been assigned Cost Activity Code/Enterprise Project Identification Numbers 001028/ L-2025-LLA-0048. Please reference these numbers and

Docket Nos. 50-295, 50-304 and 72-1037 in any future correspondence associated with this request.

Please note that the NRC staffs detailed review of your submittal may identify issues that could require you to provide additional information. Based on our preliminary evaluation and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate completing our review in January 2026. This schedule includes the issuance, if needed, of a request for additional information (RAI) in September 2025, and receiving your response to the RAI 30 days after its issuance. Please note that these dates could change depending on the findings of our detailed review, urgent assignments, or other factors, such as whether your responses to the RAI are adequate. The NRC staff estimates that completing the review of your submittal will require approximately 120 staff hours. We will promptly communicate significant schedule and/or cost changes.
