Subject:

Schedule for Responses to HI-STORM FW Amd. 7 Requests for Additional Information Part 5

Reference:

[1] Amendment No. 7 to Certificate of Compliance No. 1032 for the HI-STORM Flood/Wind Multipurpose Canister Storage System - Request for Additional Information Batch 5, letter from Y. Chen (NRC) to D. Elisio (Holtec) dated March 23, 2023.

Dear Ms. Chen:

By letter dated March 23, 2023 [1], the NRC staff sent Requests for Additional Information (Part

5) to support review of Amendment 7 for the HI-STORM FW Certificate of Compliance No. 1032 and requested that Holtec provide this information by April 23, 2023.

As there is overlap between these RAIs and requests for information related to the ongoing CBS 72.48 work, Holtec plans to submit responses to the RAIs by May 8, 2023. This extra time should help ensure Holtec can incorporate any additional feedback and/or direction received over the next weeks as more information is provided to the NRC related to the CBS 72.48.

If you have any questions, please contact me at 856-797-0900 ext. 3326.
