ZION NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 - ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT 193 TO DPR-39 AND AMENDMENT 180 TO DPR-48 TO DELETE CONDITIONS RELATED TO DECOMMISSIONING (EPID L-2025-LLA-0048)

Dear Mr. Mudrick:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is issuing the enclosed Amendment No. 193 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-39 and Amendment No. 180 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-48 for the Zion Nuclear Power Station (Zion), Units 1 and 2, respectively.

These amendments are in response to your application dated March 7, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession No. ML25066A171). These amendments revise the Zion licenses to delete license conditions relating to the License Termination Plan and license conditions relating to the terms and conditions of decommissioning trust agreements and, instead, conform to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Section 50.75(h).

A copy of our related safety evaluation is also enclosed. The Notice of Issuance will be included in the NRC's next monthly Federal Register notice.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs ADAMS.
