ACCEPTANCE REVIEW COMPLETED FOR TN AMERICAS LLC APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE NO. 1042, AMENDMENT NO. 3, TO NUHOMS EOS SYSTEM (DOCKET NO. 72-1042, CAC NO. 001028, EPID: L-2021-LLA-0055)
Dear Mr. Narayanan:
By letter dated March 31, 2021, as supplemented on June 23, 2021, TN Americas LLC (TN) submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) an application for Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No. 1042, Amendment No. 3, to the NUHOMS EOS System, pursuant to the requirements of Part 72 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
The staff has reviewed TNs responses to NRCs request for supplemental information (RSI) and has determined the application, as supplemented, now contains sufficient technical information in scope and depth to begin a detailed technical review. This letter acknowledges acceptance of your application.
We have established a schedule for the review and estimated that the staff may need approximately 1620 hours0.0188 days <br />0.45 hours <br />0.00268 weeks <br />6.1641e-4 months <br /> to complete its review. The schedule allows for the staff to complete its technical review and issue a request for additional information (RAI) in October 2021. If TN provides sufficient responses to the RAI by November 2021, and a second RAI is not needed, the CoC would be submitted to Rulemaking in April 2022. Rulemaking is estimated to take 6 months, and if there are no significant adverse comments received during the comment period, the CoC will become effective in September 2022. In general, no additional changes to the application should be submitted except for changes resulting from your response to a RAI.
