REVISED SCHEDULE TO COMPLETE REVIEW FOR TN AMERICAS LLC APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE NO. 1042, AMENDMENT NO. 1, TO NUHOMS EOS SYSTEM (DOCKET NO. 72-1042, CAC NO. 001028, EPID: L-2018-LLA-0043)

Dear Mr. Narayanan:

By letter dated February 15, 2018, as supplemented on June 14, 2018, August 30, 2018, February 19, 2019, and June 19, 2019, TN Americas LLC (TN) submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) an application for Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No. 1042, Amendment No. 1, to the NUHOMS EOS System, pursuant to the requirements of Part 72 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations.

Due to the time taken to resolve technical issues, we are revising the schedule that was originally provided in the acceptance letter dated September 17, 2018. The revised schedule assumes that TN has provided satisfactory supplemental responses, dated June 19, 2019, to the staffs request for additional information (RAI). If the staff determines that TNs supplemental RAI responses are sufficient, the staff is scheduled to complete its technical review by September 2019, and the CoC would be submitted to Rulemaking in December 2019.

Rulemaking is estimated to take six months, and if there are no significant adverse comments received during the comment period, the CoC will become effective in May 2020. In general, no additional changes to the application should be submitted except for changes resulting from your responses to the previous RAI and subsequent supplemental responses already provided.
