A clarification call requested by TN was held on May 22, 2019, with NRC staff for two purposes:

I) TN was seeking clarification on why the proposed supplemental response to RAJ 4-6 ( discussed during the May I, 20 l 9, clarification call - ADAMS Accession Number ML91923A113) would not adequately address RAI 4-6, and

2) TN proposed an approach to resolving RAJ 6-7.

RAJ 4-6: NRC staff provided clarification to TN as to why the proposed supplemental response to RAJ 4-6 would not adequately address the RAI. TN is revising their thermal model and will provide a supplemental response to adequately address NRC's concerns.

RAJ 6-7: TN provided a draft revised approach to resolving NRC concerns with regard to this RAJ. TN's draft approach can be found in ADAMS ML 19143A I I 2. NRC staff had several questions regarding the revised approach on the following topics:

- relationship between decay heat and source term

- instructions on how the users are to use the proposed table in the technical specifications (TS)

- how to treat outliers, instructions in the TS or Operating Procedures

- only using GWd units instead ofGWd/MTU units The applicant has agreed to provide supplemental information for RAJ 4-6, but has requested a follow-up clarification call on RAI 6-7 (to be scheduled).
