I wanted to update you on the schedule and resources for NRCs review of the NAC-MPC Amendment No. 9 and the Revisions to Amendment Nos. 6-8, from what was included in NRCs 1/10/2024 acceptance letter.

As NACs 2/14/2024 response to the Observation (at ML24040A027) included a revised shielding analysis, this increases the scope of review for this amendment in the shielding area. Regarding this increase in scope, I estimate it will require an additional 40-50 hours to review and extend the schedule approximately 6 weeks. Therefore, the current schedule now has us going out with an RAI in early May 2024, and going to Rulemaking in October 2024.
