5. Refueling Water Storage Tank (RWST) Preoperational Test Results Evaluation (70322)

The inspector evaluated the preoperational test results obtained per test procedure 1-3BN-01 on the refueling water storage tank (RWST). This procedure demonstrated the operation, control and interlocks of the RWST and sludge mixing / heating system. The inspector verified the final component lineup to be correct and all test data collected and recorded in a proper manner. The procedure was reviewed for conformance to Regulatory Guide 1.68 and FSAR commitments with acceptance criteria clearly specified and obtained. The Construction Acceptance Test (CAT) package for the RWST was reviewed to verify proper calibration of the level transmitter No violations or deviations were identified in the areas inspecte . . fety Injection Valve Preoperational Test Witnessing (70315)

The inspector witnessed testing of the boron injection tank (BIT) discharge isolation motor operated valve per procedure 1-3BJ-01. This test verified proper valve operation from the control room and remote shutdown panel with the accompanying actuation of annunciators. The inspector attended pre-test briefings held by the test supervisor to observe the coordination and general knowledge of the procedure with all participants. Component Cooling Water Preoperational Test Witnessing (70439)

The inspector witnessed a logic test of the component cooling water (CCW)

pump #1 per procedure 1-3EG-01. Testing was conducted in accordance with the latest revisions to approved procedures per the requirements of Regulatory Guide 1.68 and the applicable portions of the FSA The inspector observed repositioning of sliding links not included in the test procedure to clear a common annunciator. Operation of the sliding links was documented in the test log and they were returned to their original position following the test.
