ACCEPTANCE REVIEW OF REQUEST FOR AMENDMENT NO. 17 TO CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE NO. 1004 FOR THE STANDARDIZED NUHOMS SYSTEM
Dear Mr. Narayanan:
By letter dated June 11, 2020 [Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML20174A089], TN Americas LLC submitted a request to the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission to amend the Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No. 1004 for the Standardized NUHOMS System.
The staff has conducted an acceptance review of the application and determined that it contains sufficient technical information to begin a detailed technical review. We have established a review schedule based on current workload and priority. The schedule would allow the staff to complete and issue the first request for additional information (RAI) in mid-September 2020, and a draft CoC and safety evaluation report for rulemaking in mid-February 2021, based on TN Americas LLC satisfactorily responding to any RAI by the end of October 2020. The staff estimates that completing the safety review of this certificate amendment application will require approximately 480 staff review hours.
