Registration of Independent Spent Fuel Installation Storage Casks In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Fe9eral Regulations (10 CFR) 72.212, "Conditions of general license issued under §72.210," paragraph (b)(2), NextEra Energy Duane Arnold, LLC (NEDA) is submitting the registration for the use of two spent fuel storage casks under the general license to store spent fuel at the Duane Arnold Energy Center (DAEC) Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation.
The in-service dates of the casks are listed below. Registration of these casks is required to be submitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRG) within 30 days of initial use. Accordingly, this registration is due to the NRG by October 9, 2020, in accordance with 10 CFR 72.212.
