Dear Ms. Chen:

By conversation dated June 15, 2023 [1], the NRC Staff requested clarification on some of the Holtec responses to RAIs Part 5 [2] to continue their review of the HI-STORM FW Amendment

7. Actions to provide clarification per the NRC Staffs request are summarized in Attachment 1.

Updated responses to the RAIs are provided in Attachment 2, with Attachment 3 being a non-proprietary copy. Changes in Attachments 2 and 3 are marked with revision bars. Changes to the FSAR as a result of the clarifications are included in Attachments 4 and 5 for both proprietary and non-proprietary versions, respectively. All proposed changes in Attachments 4 and 5 based on the clarifications are highlighted in yellow to facilitate the NRC Staffs review. Attachments 6 and 7 contain supporting proprietary documents for the changes made with regards to the clarifications.

Since some attachments to this letter contain Holtec proprietary information, an affidavit requesting this information be withheld in accordance with 10CFR2.390 is included as Attachment
