M. M. Holzmer N. R. Williamsen, and P. L. Eng of this office on May 8 ,
through 12, 1987, of activities at Unit 1 of the Zion Nuclear Generating
Station, authorized by License No. DPR-39 and to the discussion of our i
findings with Mr. G. P11m1 at the conclusion of the inspection. ;
The inspection focused on the circumstances surrounding an event which
occurred on April 30, 1987, in which all four mainsteam isolation valves were +

0)ened resulting in a safety injection and reactor coolant system cooldown. !
