Subject:

Revised File Format for Annual Dose Report for 1998

Reference:

Letter from R. M. Krich (Commonwealth Edison Company) to U. S. NRC,

" Annual Dose Reports for 1998," dated April 30,1999.

Pursuant to 10 CFR 20.2206(c), the reference letter transmitted the 1998 Annual Dose Reports for all Commonwealth Edison (Comed) Company nuclear power facilities. The Annual Dose Reports for 1998 were submitted electronically on magnetic tape. During a May 20,1999, telephone conference between representatives of the NRC and Comed, the NRC representative indicated that difficulties had been encountered in retrieving data from the magnetic tape for Braidwood Station, Dresden Nuclear Power Station and Zion {b Nuclear Power Station. The NRC representative requested that the Annual Dose Report data for these stations be provided on a 3.5 inch computer diskette.

The anclosed 3.5 inch computer diskette includes the requested data and was prepared following the guidance provided in Regulatory Guide 8.7, " Instructions for Recording and Reporting Occupational Radiation Exposure Data," Revision 1, dated June 1992. The diskette was generated on May 26,1999, and contains the Annual Dose Reports for Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Braidwood Station, and Zion Nuclear Power Station.

The data for these Annual Dose Reports is the same as that previously transmitted in the reference letter. Each station's data is preceded by a header record, which provides the information necessary to identify the source of the data.
