Dear Senator Geo-Karis:
I am responding to your letter dated August 24,1998, addressed to Mr. David Meyer, Chief, Rules and Directives Branch, Office of Administration. Currently, there are two proceedings

Mr. Edwin Dienethalis a party in both, and Mr. Randy Robarge is a party in the proceeding commenced on September 1,1998. The proceedings are, respectt/ely, hearing docket numbers 50-295/304-LA (commenced on June 11,1998) and 50-295/304-LA-2.
The ASLBs were established to consider the petitions to intervene filed by Mr. Disnethal, Mr. Robarge snd the Committee for Safety at Plant Zion. Because of the ongoing adjudications, your letter and this response will be served on the parties to the proceeding.
I hope your concerns with rospect to the hearing process have been addressed.
