The Consnission has filed the enclosed " Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment to Facility Operating License and Opportunity for Hearing" with j
the Office of the Federal Register.for publication. This notice relates to your reauest of July 6,1989, to amend the Technical Specifications to Operating Licenses DPR-39 and DPR-46 for Zion Nuclear Power Station, Units 1 and 2.
The amendments would revise the provisions of the Technical Specifications to allow a one-tirae extension of the out-of-service period for the common diesel generator,
)
while Unit I is in a cold shutdown condition, from 7 days to 45 days.
