I The insurance maintained for each facility is provided through insurance policies, each of which has a deductible of $2.5 million per occurrence, purchased from Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited.

The above insurance policies provide coverage that satisfies the criteria specified in

10 CFR Part 50.54(w).

J In accordance with 10 CFR Part 50.54(w)(3), this,'eport is required to be submitted i

on April 1 of each year. We did not meet this requirement for 1998, in that we failed

l to submit a report, and for 1999, in that our report was not submitted on April 1. In addition, our reports for 1996 and 1997 were both submitted after April 1. Our

previous corrective actions proved insufficient to ensure we submitted the required Information to the NRC in a timely manner. In response to this administrative reporting deficiency, wts have included this reporting requirement in our administrative tracking sysMm to ensure it will be submitted by April 1 of each year.

However, during the entire time period from 1997 to present, we continued to maintain sufficient insurance cevorage to satisfy the requirements of 10 CFR Part 50.54(w).
