A routine safety inspection of your emergency preparedness program was
conducted by Mr. Conklin of this office November 3-5, 1987 at the Pilgrim {
Nuclear Power Station, Plymouth, Massachusetts. Discussions of our findings
were held by Mr. Conklin with Mr. R. Varley and other members of your staff at
the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
inspection report which is enclosed. Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative records,
interviews with personnel and observations of the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection no violations were observed. No reply to
