Mr. Craig Conklin, of this office, atter.:'ed several meetings with
Commonwealth and local officials in the areas surrounding the Pilgrim Station
during the period March 28-30, 1989.
He was accompanied by various members
of your staff, and by Messrs. Alfred Slaney and Donald Remark of the
Massachusetts Civil Defense Agency.
Specific activities included attendance at a meeting with the Massachusetts
Civil Defense Agency Director of Nuclear Safety and Emergency Preparedness,
the Massachusetts Civil Defense Agency Area II Director, the Plymouth,
Carver, Duxbury, Kingston, and Taunton Civil Defense Directors, the
Marshfield Town Manager, the Bridgewater Executive Secretary and the
Massachusetts Civil Defense Agency Area II/ Civil Defense Directors weekly
planning meeting. Specific observations are enclosed.
