Schedulina of Pilarim Nuclear Power Station 1999 Emeraency Preparedness Exercise In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 60, Appendix E, Section IV.F.2, Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station plans to conduct a full participatior 5mergency Preparedness Exercise with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on December 7,1999.

Two copies of the proposed scope and objectives for this Exercise are attached for your review. Also included for your review is the proposed schedule for activities surrounding the Exercise.

The objectives include demonstration, where appropriate, of corrective actions taken in regard to areas that warrant attention previously identified during NRC inspections, emergency exercises, and drills. The scope and objectives are submitted in accordance with FEMA's Radiological Emergency Preparedness (REP) Exercise Manual, FEMA-REP-14, dated September 1991 g Please note that in conjunction with this Exercise, the Commonwealth and local govemment agencies will be demonstrating offsite Ingestion Pathway activities. Objectives and scope for those activities are found in the Commonmalth's correspondence with FEMA and are not included here.
