FORT ST. .VRAIN NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, AMENDMENT.NO. 72 TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO. DPR-34 (TAC NO. 73418)

The' Commission has isswd the enclosed Amendment No. 72 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-34 for the Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Generating Station. This amendment consists of changes to the license .in response to your application dated June 9, 1989.

The amendment imposes an early shutdown on Fort St. Vrain by limiting reactor power to 2 percent of full power after June 30,. 1990 A copy of the Safety Evaluation is enclosed. The Notice of Issuance will be incit ded in the Commission's next biweekly Federal Register notice.
