Chaney of this office E during the: period July' 10-14, 1989, of activities authorized by NRC Operating License DPR-34 for Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Generating Station, and to the discussion of our findings with Mr..P. Tomlinson.and other members of'your , staff at the conclusion of the inspection. LAreas examined during the inspection' included the' radiation protection program. ..
- Within these' areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of
' procedures and representative records, interviews with personne1~, and ' observations by the inspector. These findings are documented in the enclosed inspection report. ' During' this inspection, it was found that certain of your activities were in violation of.NRC requirements. A violation involving the transfer of. byproduct material- without all of the copies of the transferees' licenses is documented, in the enclosed Notice-of Violation. However, because; of-your expedient 'and effective corrective actions to the.NRC finding, you are not required to- respond to the cited violation in the' enclosed Notice, In addition, during this inspection, two separate findings of missing information required to be in the' semi-annual effluent report resulting in a failure to satisfy your Technical Specification administrative requirements were identified. However, in accordance with Section V.G.1 of the NRC's Enforcement Policy, no citation ' is being issued for the violation described in Paragraph 4.a of the enclosed inspection report. .We have' also examined actions you have taken with regard to previously -identified inspection findings. The status of these items is identified in paragraph 2 of the enclosed report. < LN
