The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission in response to your letter of May 13, 1992, has granted the enclosed exemption from the requirement in 10 CFR 50 Appendix E, Section IV.f.2 to change to a biennial emergency plan exercise isther than annual following completion of the next scheduled exercise at the

' ort St. Vrain Nuc1 car Power Station.

An Environmental Assessment and finding of No Significant Impact was published in the ffdtral BL4jitn on Nuvenber 30, 1992 (57 FR 56606).

Based on the staff's enclosed Safety Evaluation the Commission has granted your exemption request pursuant to 10 CFR Part 50.12.

The exemption is being forwarded to the Office of the federal Register for publication.
