This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. R. E. Farrell of this office

during the period June 1 through July 28, 1990, of activities authorized by 1

NRC Operating License DPR-34 for the Fort.St. Vrain Nuclear Generating Station, l

and to the discussion of our findings with you and otner members of your staff l

at the conclusion of the inspection.  !

Areas examined during the inspection included followup of items of noncompliance, j

onsite followup of a licensee event report, operational safety verification, i

monthly maintenance observation, and monthly surveillance observation. Within-

these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures  !

and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the  !

-inspector. The inspection. findings are documented in the enclosed inspection

report.
