Request for additional information on Morris Operation decommissioning funding plans Date:              Tuesday, June 15, 2021 1:16:00 PM Good afternoon Scott and Tony, In connection with the NRC staffs review of the March 6, 2020, decommissioning funding plan (DFP) for the Morris Operation (ADAMS Accession No. ML20066K265), we request the following information:
: 1. Provide an affidavit, per 10 CFR 2.390, to support your request for withholding proprietary information in the March 6, 2020, DFP submittal (ADAMS Accession No. ML20066K265), and your subsequent submittal of a redacted DFP on April 21, 2021 (ADAMS Accession No. ML21111A333).
: 2. Provide the total volume of low-level radioactive waste (LLRW) to be generated during the decommissioning process.
Note that Table 6.1 of the DFP contains estimated waste volumes. However, this information was redacted in the April 21, 2021, version of the DFP that is publicly available. The NRC staff requests that the total volume of LLRW be made publicly available, so that the NRC can respond to the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) comments on the draft environmental assessment for the DFP review (ADAMS Accession No. ML21166A206).
: 3. Clarify if the DFP and decommissioning cost estimate includes costs associated with LLRW fees to be assessed by the IEMA under Section 13 of the Illinois Low-Level Radioactive Waste Management Act.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this request.

3. Clarify if the DFP and decommissioning cost estimate includes costs associated with LLRW fees to be assessed by the IEMA under Section 13 of the Illinois Low-Level Radioactive Waste Management Act.

Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this request.
