Information supplied should state how the program assures that vendor technical information is kept complete, current and controlled throughout the life l

of the plant and should also indicate how the program will be implemented at MAINE YANKEE.

1 Maine Yankee Response L Maine Yankee has developed a program of administrative controls to implement a vendor interface program for reactor trip system components.

The following outline summarizes the program.

1- A. -On an, annual basis, Mi'APCo sends a letter to each vendor of reactor trip system components. The letter:

1. Lists the reactor trip system components they supplied.

, 2. Lists the technical manual (s)/information which MYAPCO currently, has.

I

3. If the listed technical information is still current, requests the vendor certify that:

l l a. The technical manual (s)/information is still current, and

b. That no component changes have been made or planned. -

l 4. If technical manual (s)/information have been changed and/or component changes have been maae or planned, requests the vendor to send the latest information along with documentation to certify what is the latest information for the supplied -

, components. ,

B. If any new information is received:

1. The information is provided to cognizant department (s) for inclusion into the plant procedures and/or plant technical manuals.-
2. The cognizant department (s) is requested to document that the information has been reviewed and appropriately referenced ,

and/or incorpcrrted into plant manuals and/or procedures. - l C. The administrative control loop may be closed only after all of the following have been accurplished:

1. Certification letters have been received from each vendor which address the techical manual (s)/information and the components ,

status. 1

2. Documentation has been received from user department (s) that any new information has been reviewed and appropriately referenced and/or incorporated into plant technical manuals and/or proct:dures.
