Dear Mr. Counsil:

The Code Case was developed to provide rules for Section !!!, Division 1, Class 2 or Class 3 components when metal temperatures exceed those for ,

which allowable stress values are given by Section !!!, Division 1. Per your letter dated August 26,1986 (TXX-4960), the staff understands that the Code Case will be used for the requalification of the diesel generator exhaust components which are covered under Class 3 rules.
