This' acknowledges the granting of a temporary waiver of compliance to Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station, Unit 1 as requested in your letter to our office dated July 24,1990(TXX90263). This letter provides the basis.for your request for a temporary waiver of compliance from the provisions of Technical Specifications (TS)3.3.2[ Table 3.3-2,ActionStatement17-(containment pressure only)] and 3.6.2.1 for the containment spray system in order to rerair i

and test containment pressure Transmitter 1-PT-0934 with Unit 1 in hot sta'.dby.

j We understand that the actual repair and testing of 1-PT-0934 is not exrected l

to exceed 7 days..and that the actual total time that containment spra.s will 1

. be inoperable is not expected to exceed 4 hours4.62963e-5 days <br />0.00111 hours <br />6.613757e-6 weeks <br />1.522e-6 months <br />. Therefore, this temrorary j

waiver of compliance will be effective for a period of 7 days, and will become i

' effective when: Unit.I' is placed in hot standby following the turbine

-j trip / reactor trip: startup test from 100 percent power.

During this 7-day-l period, the total integrated time that you are authorized to operate;in
