Gentlemen:
This ' refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. Nemen M. Terc during the period -

l;
other members of your staff at the' conclusion of the inspection.-
Areas examined during the inspection included a review of the_ operational
. status _of the emergency preparedness program and two regional initiatives
pertaining to' knowledge of duties of members of your emergency response
l
. organization. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective.
examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with
_
personnel, and observations by the inspectors. The inspection findings are
-documented in the enclosed inspection report.
er
The. inspectors found that the emergency preparedness program at the Comanche
f

.this inspection, an unresolved item was identified pending further NRC review.
,.
'This item pertains to the-fact that the inspectors determined that some key
E
'
, emergency response personnel were not always proficient in some of their-
-j
. duties. _The inspectors determined that'during training interviews and
walkthroughs some- teams exhibited a need for further emergency preparedness
j
training.
.
?
-We have also examined actions you have taken with regard to previously
identified inspection findings. The status of these items is identified in
paragraph'2 of the enclosed report.
