other members of your staff at the' conclusion of the inspection.-

Areas examined during the inspection included a review of the_ operational

. status _of the emergency preparedness program and two regional initiatives

pertaining to' knowledge of duties of members of your emergency response

. organization. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective.

examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with

_

personnel, and observations by the inspectors. The inspection findings are

-documented in the enclosed inspection report.

The. inspectors found that the emergency preparedness program at the Comanche

Peak Steam Electric Station was adequately implemented.

However, during

.this inspection, an unresolved item was identified pending further NRC review.

'This item pertains to the-fact that the inspectors determined that some key

, emergency response personnel were not always proficient in some of their-

. duties. _The inspectors determined that'during training interviews and

walkthroughs some- teams exhibited a need for further emergency preparedness

training.
