The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has reviewed Texas Utilities Electric l Company's (lic~ensee's) March 12,1998 (TXX-98009), submittal regarding Generic Letter (GL) 97-05, " Steam Generator Tube inspection Techniques." The licensee's submittal L included a description and technical basis for all inspection techniques used to size the depth of steam generator tube degradation at Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station (CPSES), Units 1 and 2. The NRC staff's review of the licensee's submittal did not identify any concerns with the

erator inspection techniques employed at CPSES, Units 1 and 2, that would indicate the licensea is not in compliance with the current licensing basis for the facility.
