Dear Mr. Terry:

l This refers to the public meeting conducted on March 29,1999, at the Support Services Building - Training Room, Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station, Glen Rose, Texas. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the results of the Plant Performance Review, which was completed on February 11,1999, and transmitted to you on March 19,1999' The meeting provided an opportunity for you, your staff, and the NRC to discuss the performance insights

. noted in the review and how they can be used to further improve operations at the Comanche

, Peak site. The meeting also provided a forum for local govemmental officials to meet with the NRC and to be familiarized with the new assessment process and the agency's preparation for Y2K.

In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
