This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Mr. J. M. Hinds of this office and Mr. H. Bliss of your staff on May 11, 1988, regarding a Confirmatory Action Letter (CAL-RIII-88-06) issued March 23, 1988, for Braidwood Unit 2. This CAL was in regard to deficiencies that you identified in lubricants in motor-operated valves at Braidwood. Based on your submittal dated May 11, 1988, we agree that you have taken corrective action to satisfy the requirements of the Confirmatory Action Letter. Therefore, I concur with your decision to restart Unit 2, and CAL-RIII-88-06 is considered closed.
