Gentlemen:

This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Peggy R. Rescheske

of this office on August 17 through October 30, 1990, of activities at the

Braidwood flucicar Power Station - Units 1 and 2, authorized by HRC Operating

Licenses 110. NPF-72 and flo. HPF-77, and to the discussion of our findings with

fir. 0 E. O'Brien and others of ycur staff at the exit meeting held on

September 13, 1990.

The inspection focused on selected startup core performance testing and

surveillances performed for the Braidwood Unit 2 startup subsequent to the

initial core reload.

The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies

areas examined during the inspection. Within these areas, t1e inspection

consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative records,

observations, and interviews with personnel.

No violations of IIRC requirements were identified during the course of this

inspection.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of

this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the llRC

Public Document Room.
