. BRAIDWOOD INITIAL EXAMINATION
Dear Mr. Kingsley:
In a letter from the NRC dated February 10,1999, arrangements for an examination to be administered at your Braidwood Nuclear Generating Station during the week of June 7,1999, were finalized. The letter stated that your training staff had committed to use the guidance provided in Interim Revision 8 of NUREG 1021, " Operator Licensing Examination Standards for Power Reactors' for preparing the examination for the NRC examiners. Recently the final version of Revision 8 of NUREG 1021 was issued. Following several conversations between Messrs. Paul DiGiovani, Darin Myer, and Paul Hipley of your Braidwood Training Staff and
. Mr. Hironori Peterson, Senior Operator License Examiner, NRC, Region Ill, a final decision was made to develop and administer the examination using the guidelines provided in the final
' Revision 8 of NUREG-1021.
Subsequent to that decision, the examination was constructed and submitted to the chief examiner in accordance with the new guidelines contained in Revision 8 of NUREG 1021. All changes made by NRC examiners to the submitted license examination material were verified
'to conform with the guidelines of Revision 8 of NUREG 1021. All parts of the Braidwood Station initial licensed operator examination have been approved for administration.
