By letter dated August 9,1985, the NRC staff provided its initial review of the programatic aspects of those portions of the Comanche Peak Response Team (CPRT) Program Plan submitted as of that date. As indicated in that letter,

the staff intended to also provide specific coments with regard to individual issue-specific action plans and discipline-specific action plans. Provided as

an enclosure to this letter are the detailed coments on the Plan. The staff j also has had the benefit of reviewing coments received to date from CASE on the Plan.

We understand that TUGC0 is revising the Plan to include the staff's coments

and that the Plan will address the CPRT umbrella QA program. Following receipt of Plan modifications, response to the staff coments and your

. comprehensive QA program for CPRT activities, the staff will finalize its

! evaluation.
