Enclosure 3 is a list of typographical / editorial deficiencies identified during this review that are considered not to have technical merit. To be consistent with the staff's policy in not releasing Technical Specifications with known errors, Enclosure 3 items were corrected in the Braidwood first draft. Byron 's Technical Specifications must be amended to correct these known deficiencies.

Enclosure 4 is a list of apparent Byron and Braidwood Safety Evaluation Report deficiencies and proposed resolution submitted for your information and review.

Enclosure 5 is a copy of the first draft of the Braidwood Station, Units 1 and 2 Technical Specifications.

The above findings are not all inclusive since the review is still in progress.

Braidwood Station, Units 1 and 2 First Draft Technical Specifications The NRC has completed its initial review of the first draft of the Braidwood Station, Units 1 and 2 Technical Specifications. The first draft is based on Commonwealth Edison's July 17, 1985, submittal drafted from the approved Byron Technical Specifications to include changes that were site-specific in nature.

We request that you review this document and identify any statements which do not accurately reflect the Braidwood Station, Units 1 and ? FSAR, SER or the "as-built" plant.

We also request your review of the enclosed convaents generated during the staff's review of your July 17, 1985 submittal.

Enclosure 1 is a sunmary of your proposed changes and our resolution / changes

. incorporated in this first draft Technical Specification submittal. In accor-dance with the Commission's standardization policy, your proposed changes to the Braidwood draft Technicel Specifications that are also applicable to Byron Station can not be incorporated at this time. Upon acceptance by the staff of the proposed changes for Byron Station, Braidwood's Technical Specifications will then be revised accordingly.

Enclosure 2 is a list of apparent deficiencies identified during the staff's review of Braidwoed's draft Technical Specifications. Proposed resolutions are subnitted for your information and resolution.
