.L ENCLOSURE BEAVER VALLEY UNIT 2 RE00EST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION RELATED TO CONTROL ROOM ISOLATION ON HIGH RADIATION Currently, the staff is conducting a detailed design review of the automatic initiation of control room isolation on a high radiation sfonal. In an April 1,1986, letter from the applicant and during a meeting with the staff held on May 6, 1986, some detailed information and design documentation were provided.

In order for the staff to complete its review, the following additional informa-tion should be provided:

1. Written confirmation that the applicant will modify the design to eliminate all test switches similar to switch "2-6125" shown on Drawing 12241-E-11JP-SH-1 which could be used to bypass or render inoperable the portion of the system associated with inputs from the radiation monitors.
2. Provide detailed schematics which show the contact development for radia-

. tion monitors 2RMC*2Q201 and 202.

3. Provide detailed schematics which show the contact development for all control switches (such as "1-HVCAD") associated with the control room isolation.

.6 i

4. Since our review indicates that draft revisions to FSAR Chapter 7 logic diagrams (Figure 7.2-1, Sheet 8 and 7.3-13) provided in the applicant's April 1,1986, letter do not agree with the detailed schematics provided thus far for our review, provide either correct logic diagrams and/or detailed schematics to eliminate this conflict.
5. Our review indicates that Drawing 11700-RE-21ML-3 does not reflect the design changes related to the interface between Unit I control room isolation and Unit 2 control room isolation circuitry. Provide a detailed schematic or later revision to Drawing 11700-RE-21ML-3 which shows this interface.
