Subject: Inspection Nos. 50-334/89-14 & 50-412/89-15
A rurtine safety inspection of your annual swtycy preparedness exercise was
conducted by Mr. C. Gordan of this office and other hanimts of an NRC team on
Atzpst 1-3, 1989, at your Beaver Valley Power Station, Units 1 & 2,
Shippingport, Pennsylvania.. Discussions of our findings were held by Mr..Gordon
with Mr. Lacey and other w Mrw of your staff at the conclusion of the
.
inspection.
Areas examined during the irspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspec-
tion Report which is enclosed. Within these areas, the inspection consisted
of selective examination of procedures and twt =suitative records, interviews
with personnel, and nhamvation of the emergency exercise by team Naiimis.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
