Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No. I and No. 2 BV-1 Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 BV-2 Docket No. 50-412, License No. NPF-73 Response to Oral Request for Information on the ' License Transfer The following is the Duquesne Light Company's (DLC's) response to the NRC staff's oral request for information concerning the qualifications :for the Senior Nuclear Executive referenced in the 10 CFR 50.80 submittal dated May 5,1999 (TAC Nos.

MA5370 and MA5371). In the FENOC organization chart contained in Attachment 1, the individual designated as the Vice President of Beaver Valley is the same individual referred to in our May 5,1999 application as the Senior Nuclear Executive.

The responsibilities of the Senior Nuclear Executive, referred to in the 10 CFR 50.80 submittal, will be the same as the responsibilities of the Senior Vice President, Nuclear Power Division specified in Section 6.2.1.c of the current plant Technical Specifications.

The qualifications for the Senior Nuclear Executive will be the same as those currently specified for the President Generation Group and Chief Nt.: dear Officer in the Beaver Valley Power Station (BVPS) Unit No. 2 Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR) Table 13.1-2 titled " Personnel Responsibilities and Qualifications."

In a DLC to NRC letter titled " Supplement to License Amendment Request Nos. 259 &

131" dated May 27,1999 (TAC Nos. MA5059 and MA5060), DLC proposed the generic title of" corporate officer with direct responsibility for the plant" be specified in Section 6.2.1.c of the plant's Technical Specifications in lieu of the currently specified title f

" Senior Vice President, Nuclear Power Division." In addition, DLC proposed that the generic title of" corporate officer with direct responsibility for the plant" be added to the BVPS Unit No. 2 UFSAR Table 13.1-2 in reference to the President Generation Group,[

and Chief Nuclear Officer. Following the License transfer to FENOC, the UFSAR will (\\

be revised by replacing the title " President Generation Group and Chief Nuclear Officer" with "Vice President of Beaver Valley."
