Inspection Report Nos. 50-334/89-17 and 50-412/89-17
This letter refers to the routine inspection conducted by Mr. R. W. Winters
and Mr. C. H. Woodard of this office on July 31 - August 10, 1989, at the
Beaver' Valley Nuclear Power Station in Shippingport, Pennsylvania.
Mr.. Winters
discussed the results of the inspection with Mr. Crockett of your staff at
the exit meeting on August 4,1989 and Mr. Woodard discussed the emergency
diesel generator inspection results with Mr. Kasunick at the August 10, 1989
exit meeting.
This inspectior, was directed at activities related to engineering support
and the receipt and stcrage of fuel oil for the emergency diesel generators.
Areas examined.are described in the NRC Region I Report which is enclosed
with this letter. Within these areas, selected examinations were made of
-procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and ocser-
vations by the inspectors.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
