VERIFICATION OF CECOR COEFFICIENT METHODOLOGY FOR APPLICATION TO WATERFORD 3 By letter dated October 24, 1984, you submitted a report on the above subject.

The purpose of the report, " Verification of CECOR Coefficient Methodology for Application to Pressurized Water Reactors of the Middle South Utilities System,"

is to demonstrate the capability of Middle South Services, Inc. (MSS) methodology for generating cycle-dependent data library updates for the CECOR computer program. The report references both Waterford 3 and Arkansas Nuclear One - .

Unit 2 (ANO-2). Louisiana Power and Light Company requests approval of the report for application to Waterford 3. Arkansas Power and Light Company has already requested and received approval of the report for application to ANO-2.

We have completed our review of the report and find the MSS Methodology accept-able for application to Waterford 3. Our Safety Evaluation is enclosed.
