SAFETY EVALUATION OF THE SAFETY PARAMETER DISPLAY SYSTEM (SPDS) ISOLATICN DEVICE TEST-RESULTS (TAC NOS. 71251 & 71252) i By [[letter::05000313/LER-1988-009, :on 880922,three Inoperable Snubbers Discovered on safety-related Piping Sys.One Snubber Failed Due to Spec of Undersized Snubber & Other Two Found W/Inadequate Travel Remaining for Thermal Growth|letter dated February 28, 1989]], Arkansas Power & Light (AP&L) provided the test results concerning the isolation devices esed to interface the Non. Class-IE SPDS with. Class IE systems.

Subsequently, the staff issued a Safety Evaluation (SE) dated July 31,1989, and concluded that the SPDS isolation devices were acceptable with the excestion of one open issue.

The o involved the qualification ~of the Roc 1 ester Instrument Systems (RIS) pen issue Model 50-1302 isolation device.

By letter dated February 28, 1990, AP&L submitted the analysis of the test results for the RIS isolation device. The staff has' i

reviewed this information and, as discussed in the enclosed Su)plemental SE, has concluded that the RIS SC-1302 isolation device is accepta)1e fortuse at.
