Perimeter Improvement Project

(Inspection Report 50-313/87-31; 50-368/87-31)

l

Dear Mr. Beach:

!

Our letter of March 9, 1990 (OCANO39015), provided a list of the most I

significant items remaining open when the Security Perimeter Improvement l

Project was accepted by Security. This project consisted of a complete l

redesign of the perimeter security system, including cameras, the perimeter  !

barrier, the intrusion detection system, and CAS/SAS consoles. As )

requested by letter dated April 3, 1990 (OCNA049002), enclosed is an update

to the status of those remaining open items. The open-items were not

considered operability constraints to the system.

The enclored material contains Safeguards Information as described by

10CFR73.21. Disclosure to unauthorized individuals is prohibited by

Section 147 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended. Therefore, we

request that the attached be withheld from public disclosure in accordance

with 10CFR2.790.

If you have any questions concerning this matter, please contact me.

Very truly yours,

ENCLO L'RE CCNTAINS
